My wife and I have the exact same device, regardless of the date of purchase. My MBP is one months later.

We're both really like them, and find the size is perfect for our needs, which are completely different.

My wife is surfing in particular, e-mail, office and administrative tasks that she is out the window of VMware for Windows using their offices required accounting and payroll software. I use the other side, my machine for the processing of 1080p video and photos 21megapixel here. To compensate for the size of the screen, I close my MacBook Pro to a 24 "display.

This was my fist low-end CPU product I bought. The keyboard, screen size, battery life, the power of the CPU are suitable for sailing and regular work. I removed the antivirus software and HD Hulu and YouTube seem to work well, but not perfect. The processor is much slower than the standard laptops. So expect a slow response.
The product is very good and I think that the installation of Windows 7 will improve performance when you pick up videos. I also tried with multiple monitors (24 "and 17") as well and works very well.

This netbook is equipped with 32-bit Vista and 2 GB of RAM. It is certainly quite impressive. The installation of the operating system adds a surprising amount of bloatware that a time to take charge. The extra nag a lot and require constant updating - the laptop is always slow for the first 10-15 minutes after the start because of automatic updates and various downloads. Once I pulled out and pushed the memory to 4 GB which was better, but still was not quicker than my old P4 with XP Pro 2.8. If my laptop on the road and do minimal editing, I was going to use Vista and Windows Movie Maker. Although this machine is not really designed for multimedia, I was surprised that the load of an AVI or WMV files virtually frozen it.

I am very pleased with my purchase of the Acer 1410 met. It already has 2 GB of RAM, which is suitable for most standard applications in order, but I have to add the CT25664AC667 Crucial 2GB 667 MHz DDR2 200-pin SODIMM Laptop Memory for good measure.

If you are looking for a netbook that is lightweight and small, Acer Aspire AS1410-8414 is the choice. This is a netbook with steroids. I'm waiting for Windows 7 a free upgrade CD to see how it behaves. I actually re-partition and install Ubuntu 9.04, when I look. Ubuntu 9.04 supports all the hardware (microphone, webcam, etc.), and the only thing you have to do is move the HDD to IDE in the BIOS. Ubuntu is impressive, it takes about 2 minutes to start and stop. I also use the processor management tool for the maximum processor speed, and flies. (He tries to conserve energy to slow the processor down)
